Verne's Cream Cheese Pound Cake w/ Glaze

3 sticks butter2 1/2 cups of sugar8 oz cream cheese1 tablespoon of vanilla5 lg eggs1/2 teaspoon baking powder3 cups of cake flour~~~~GLAZE~~~~~1 cup powdered sugar1 to 2 tablespoons of milk1/2 teaspoon vanilla1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Prep cake flour and baking powder by sifting together and setting aside. Grease and flour bunt cake pan. Preheat oven to 350. Cream softened butter, cream cheese and sugar together until fluffy, add vanilla. Alternate adding flour and one egg at a time, ending with an egg. Beat until smooth. Batter will appear to be thick this is o.k.. Pour into bunt pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours on 350, when inserted with knife or toothpick and comes out clean it's done. Cool for 10 minutes and turn out onto cooling rack.

Stir together powered sugar and milk, use 1 tablespoon to start add vanilla and lemon juice is optional. Stir until you have no lumps and glaze over top of cake a desired. Makes 12 servings
