Orange Raisin Bread

1 cup sugar 1/4 cup butter 1 egg 1 zest of whole orange 1 orange processed 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup seedless raisin 1/2 cup boiling water
Preheat over to 350 degrees then pour 1/2 a cup boiling water over the raisins, add the zest of 1 orange mix and let cool while mixing the rest the ingredients.
Mix together butter and sugar; cream until fluffy. Add egg, orange (grind well in food processor first), and dry ingredients and blend. Then stir in cooled raisin mixture. Pour into prepared bread pan and bake 1 hour at 350.
