Hamburger Steaks w/sauteed mushrooms & onions in brown gravy

2.5 lbs lean ground beefsmall white or yellow onion, chopped3/4 - 1 cup mushroom pieces chopped2 packets brown gravy mix1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
measure out the beef into 4 oz patties and place on grill (i use a pannini press) for 4 minutes each side. while the patties cook, saute the onions and mushrooms in the oil until opaque. in a sauce pan, prepare the gravy according to packet instructions. add gravy to the saute pan and simmer 1 minute. place patties in a dish or container and pour gravy mixture over them.
