Mamma's Whole Wheat Tortillas

Ingredients
4 cups whole wheat flour1/4 cup coconut oil or shortening3/4 teaspoon saltapproximately 1 1/2 cups cold water
Directions
Mix salt into ww flour. Cut or rub coconut oil or shortening into flour until it has the consistency of corn meal. Slowly add cold water while stirring. Add water just until dough forms a slightly dry ball that pulls cleanly from the side of the bowl. Knead dough about 10 times then let rest for 5 minutes. Cut dough into quarters and then continue cutting lumps down by half until you have 32 walnut sized pieces of dough. Roll pieces out into 6 inch circles. Cook on a medium hot dry skillet for about 30 to 45 seconds per side until small brown spots appear. Stack on a plate between two small cotton towels to keep warm and pliable.
