1 cup walnuts (120 grams) or Almonds1 1/3 cups pitted dates (230 grams) (Costco is great)1 tsp vanilla extract (Costco is GF)3-4 Tbs cocoa powder (dark or regular)(Taste after 3 Tbs)Pinch of salt, optional
Combine all ingredients in a food processor or Magic Bullet. (I add half the dates to begin with in my Cuisinart.) Process, then roll ingredients into small balls or shape into bars. I refrigerate mine, but it is not required. The recipe states you can use this as a crust, pressed firmly into a pie pan.
