Bavarian Apple Torte

Crust:1/3 cup Becel Original Margarine1/3 cup sugar1/4 teaspoon vanilla1 cup all-purpose flourCream cheese filling:1 250 gr. package cream cheese, softened1/4 cup sugar1 large egg1/2 teaspoon vanilla extractApple mixture:1/3 cup sugar1/2 teaspoon cinnamon4 Gala apples, peeled, cored, sliced1/4 cup sliced almonds
Crust:
Cream margarine, sugar and vanilla using an electric mixer. Blend in flour manually. Spread the dough on bottom and sides of a 9-inch spring-form pan.
Preheat oven to 450.
Cream cheese filling:
Combine softened cream cheese and sugar using an electric mixer. Mix well. Add egg and vanilla, mix well. Pour into lined pastry pan.
Apple mixture:
Combine sugar and cinnamon and toss apples in mixture. Spoon mixture over cream cheese layer. Sprinkle with almonds.
Bake at 450 for 10 minutes in upper middle of oven. Reduce heat to 400 and bake for 25 more minutes. Loosen torte from rim. Cool before removing.
