Cabbage Rolls
- Number of Servings: 5
Ingredients
Directions
1 lb lean ground beef1 cup chopped onion1 cup chopped red bell pepper8-12 steamed cabbage leaves1 1/2 cup marinara sauce4 tbsp grape jam
Combine first 3 ingredients. Add salt if desired. Place a small scoop of the mixture onto a cabbage leaf and roll (like a burrito). You don't want the leaf to be so full that it can't be rolled. About 2 tbsp is usually about right, but it depends on how big your cabbage leaves are.
Mix marinara and grape jelly together. If it is thick, add water to thicken. Spread 1 cup on the bottom of your slow cooker. Place the rolled cabbage in the slow cooker and cover with remaining marinara mixture.
Cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until meat mixture is cooked through.
Serving Size: Makes 8 2-roll servings
