10 thawed boneless, skinless chicken thighs-fat trimmed/removed1/4 cup margarine1 can evaporated milk (use skim to reduce fat content, if desired)1/4 cup flour, dissolved in 3/4 cup cold water *Onion powder, 3 tbsp Garlic powder, 3 tbsp Turmeric, ground, 1 tbsp Cloves, ground, 1 tsp Nutmeg, ground, 1 tbsp *cumin powder, 1.5 tbsp *paprika, smoked, 1 tsp Ginger, ground, 1.5 tsp Salt, 2.5 tbsp (more or less to taste)Cinnamon, ground, 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar, .25 cup *dry mustard powder, 1 tsp Pepper, black, .5 tsp
In a large pot, melt margarine and place chicken thighs in it. Toss the seasonings over the chicken, and then stir. Let sit covered for five to ten minutes. Add the evaporated milk. Leave uncovered and heat to a boil, stirring often. Add the flour water to thicken the mixture. Let reduce for about 10-15 minutes over medium high heat, stirring often.
