Easy Italian Pasta Bowl

1/2 lb. 96/4 ground beef1 small can tomato sauce1 can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano6 oz. (or 1/2 box) tri-color rotini pasta1/2 cup diced onion1/2 cup julienned carrots1 tsp. minced garlic1 1/2 cups Italian blend cheese (divided)salt/pepper to taste
1. Cook meat, onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink.
2. Cook noodles until al dente.
3. Drain any liquid or fat from meat. Add canned tomatoes, carrots and tomato sauce.
4. Bring meat mixture to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes or until carrots are tender.
5. Stir drained pasta into meat/tomato mixture.
6. Sprinkle cheese on top and allow to melt.
Serving Size: Makes 5 one cup servings
