Texas Chili

Ingredients
Beef, ground, 80% lean meat / 20% fat, or ground round], 32 ozBeans, Kidney beans dark red (1) 15 oz canBush's Pinto Beans, (1) 15 oz can1 Med. Green Bell Pepper, 1 servingTomato juice, without salt added, 32 fl ozRed Onion Raw - 1.5 cup Celery, raw, 1/2 cup, dicedChili powder, 4 tbspCumin (ground), 1 tspGarlic powder, 1 1/2 tspSalt, 1 tsp*Black Pepper (Ground), 1/2 tspGranulated Sugar, 1/2 tsp can use sugar substitutePepper, red or cayenne, 1/4 tspTomato Paste, 2 can (6 oz)Jalapeno's - 1 or 2 small depending on how hot you like Cilantro Chopped 1/4 cupOptional: Shredded Cheese or sour cream
Directions
In large skillet brown the ground beef and drain off excess fat. Put browned beef and the rest of the ingredients in a 6 qt pot or slow cooker. Cover and let the chili simmer in 6 qt pot for 2 hours stiring every 15-30 minutes.
If using a slow cooker - cook on low for 6-8 hours.
