Sweet Italian Sausage and Basil Pasta

Ingredients
1 pkg Johnsonville Sweet Italian Sausage (5 links)1.2 pkg Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Whole Wheat Blend Thin Spaghetti (app. 6 oz)1 can Hunt's Petite Diced Tomatoes, drained1 can Rotel Mild Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, drained1/2 cup Onion, diced3 tsp Garlic, minced2 tsp Basil, dried, minced
Directions
Cook pasta according to package directions.

Meanwhile, heat oil in a large nonstick skillet. Sautee the onion and garlic in oil until flavors have joined and onions are becoming translucent.

Slice sausages into small slices and add to skillet. Add basil and sautee all until sausages are cooked through.

Drain cooked pasta; add to the sausage mixture. Add the tomatoes and toss gently. Cook and stir until completely heated through.

Serves 5.

    This was soooo good! I didn't have a can of the diced tomates with chilies, so used two cans of petite diced tomatoes. Can't wait to try it with the chilies.

    Didn't have the correct diced tomatoes and Rotel. Substituted italian style diced tomatoes and a 'can' of medium Pace chunky salsa. The salsa added a nice zip to the dish. Will definitely make again! - 3/6/12

    My husband and I both thought this was amazing!! To cut back on a few calories I only used 4 sausage links and I used Barilla Plus Rotini (7 oz), and served a small salad with dinner. You could even leave out the sausage for a nice side dish. Definite keeper, thanks!! - 10/5/08
