Chana Masala / Curried Garbanzo Beans

Ingredients
2 tsp Chili powder 1.50 tbsp Coriander seed 2 tbsp Canola Oil 0.50 lemon yields Lemon Juice 10 clove Garlic 50 Ginger Root 2 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw 0.75 cup, chopped Green Peppers (bell peppers) 1 large Canned Tomatoes 850 Chickpeas (garbanzo beans) 6 tbsp Cilantro, raw 2 tsp Garam Masala .33 tbsp Ground tumeric
Directions
1. Saute Onion and Pepper in half of the oil till you get color on onion. 10-15 min

2. Make paste of garlic and ginger, add water if youre having a hard time. saute gently 5 min

3.Toast/Grind spices if you can. Add rest of oil and bloom spices 1-2 min low heat

4. Add can of tomato, bring to boil. Simmer 5-10 min.

5. Add cooked garbanzo beans. If needed add splash of water. Simmer couple of minutes

6. Season to taste. Add juice of lemon to taste. Shut off heat

7. Add chopped cilantro
