Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients

6 red or green bell peppers2 lb ground round (85/15)1 cup chopped onion1 can stewed diced tomatoes1 cup cooked brown rice2 tbsp worcestershire sauce1 cup shredded 2% mild cheddar cheese1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)saltpepper
Start rice cooking according to directions for 1 cup cooked rice.
Clean peppers, and cut large hole in top. Clean out inside.
Boil peppers in salted water for 7 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Brown meat and onion; drain.
Add tomatoes, rice, worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, and salt and pepper to taste.
Sprinkle cheese on top of meat mixture. DO NOT STIR. Let cheese melt on top of meat mixture.
Spoon meat mixture into peppers.
Top with additional cheese if desired (not included in recipe).
Cook stuffed peppers on a cookie sheet in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Makes 6 servings.
