24 oz Ground beef 4 tbsp Butter, unsalted 1 serving Gravy, Brown, McCormick Mix, .25 cup (by MSCASS) 24 oz Veg-all (mixed canned vegetables) no salt (by BELINDA392) 4 cup Hungry Jack Instant Mashed Potatoes (by 2BHOTT) .125 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour 4 serving Garlic - minced (1 tsp) (by ELLERCADE)
Pre make the instant mashed potatoes according to package directions and cover and set aside.
Begin browning one and a half pounds of ground beef in a skillet with the minced garlic. When brown through, drain meat over a sink with a colander and return to the skillet. In a separate smaller skillet melt 2 tbsp of butter with 2 tbsp of flour and make a simple rue with the juice from both cans of the Veg All vegetables. Next add the entire package of the McCormick brown gravy mix to this and stir until blended. After draining the Veg All cans place all vegetables in with the browned meat, then pour the gravy over this you just made and stir well until blended over medium heat. When gravy has thickened remove from stove and place all the beef/gravy/vegetables mix into a deep enough casserole dish that the is room at the top to place the mashed potatoes over the mix. Rake a fork over the top of the potatoes after placing them over beef mix, then pop into the oven at 400F for about 30 minutes until bubbly. Remove and enjoy!
