6 oz Shishito Peppers, Ark Foods (by BERRBISS) 1 tbsp Extra Light Olive Oil .33 serving Lemon juice - of half lemon, 1 Tablspoon (Atkins) 0.25 tsp Stonemill Essentials (Aldi) Sea Salt Grinder
Wash peppers; may remove stem and seeds, though the peppers can be fried whole. If removing stem and seeds, keep peppers as whole as possible. Dry peppers as completely as you can to prevent splattering.
Heat oil in fry pan until very hot, but not smoking. Have a splatter guard screen ready. Add peppers, cover with screen (don't cover with a lid, which holds too much moisture in), and fry on medium high heat until pepper skin is browning/blistering. Immediately remove from pan, squirt with fresh lemon juice, sprinkle with salt and serve.
