Ingredients
Directions
4.0 cup Milk, 3.25%2.0 tsp Garlic powder2.0 tsp Onion powder1.0 tsp Pepper, black0.5 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne1.0 tsp Salt453.0 Grams Pork Sausage0.25 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour
Heat 3 qt saucepan(stainless steel works best) with high sides on medium heat. Add the sausage and brown it, breaking it up as it browns. Do not drain. Once all pink is gone, add seasonings(adjusting to taste-- sometimes I use red pepper flakes in place of the cayenne) and stir to distribute. Next, add flour by sprinkling over meat, then stir to coat the meat. Next, add the milk and stir to prevent sticking. Continue to cook on medium until it comes to a simmer, stirring occasionally from the bottom, and until it thickens. (About 10-15 minutes.) Turn to low, adjust seasonings, and serve over biscuits or toast.
