Low cal lentil dhal

Ingredients
4oz (100g) red lentils1 cup onion sliced1 clove garlic finely chopped/crushed2 teaspoons garam masala2 teaspoons olive oil3/4 pint vegetable stock
Directions
Heat oil on medium temp. Saute onions and garlic until soft but not browned. Add garam masala, increase heat slightly and cook onions until beginning to brown. Reduce heat, add lentils and cook for 1 minute, taking care that they dont catch on pan and burn. Add stock and increase heat to bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for an hour or until lentils have absorbed liquid and are soft. Stir occasionally whilst cooking.
