I love my dad's fried okra- and this tasted like it, without all the grease! One serving for one WW point- makes a filling after-work snack :) - 12/1/08

It has a good flavor.. I wish it would have been a little more crispy.. - 8/6/10

Katobow, sounds like your okra was too mature. If the pods are too big they become fibrous. They may well be garden grown and fresh, but if they are any bigger than a finger they will be inedible. - 11/19/09

The taste was great! Added a dash of garlic powder to the mixture, but otherwise make as posted. It did not look very appetizing. They did not brown very evenly. I turned half way through but many still were "white" when done. I sprayed the olive oil spray generously. - 9/27/15

Would this recipe work with thawed from frozen okra?

On a whim I bought some whole frozen okra. I love it in pre-made soups but never prepared it myself before - 10/23/13

This was delicious, but the flour was very dry. I think next time I'll try tossing the okra with a little olive oil before coating with flour, and I might decrease the amount of flour a little. - 10/12/11

Thank you. Trying again tonight with okra which is the perfect size and already cooking the good old Southern way. :) I need to keep the calories in a lower catagory. :) - 3/5/09
