Ingredients
8 Cups apple puree3 Cups granulated sugar2 tbsp vinegar2 tbsp ground cinnamon1/2 tsp ground cloves1/4 tsp allspice
Directions
Make the apple puree by cutting fresh apples into 1 inch chunks and giving them a whirl in the food processor (blender might work if you don't have a food processor, but you'll have to do just a little bit at a time)

Throw all ingredients into a big crock pot, give it a stir and put it on high for 3 or so hours. Stir it occasionally. Let it go longer if you like.

The spices are a little bit on the strong side, other than that a great recipe! Thanks! - 10/15/10

Very good and very easy! Thanks, it was just what I needed for my aging apples on the counter. I reduced the sugar and the amount of apples since I didn't have enough and made 1/2 the recipe, but got different %ages for my final servings. I got 34 oz. which I guess is about 68 T, not sure. - 9/11/09
