ow-Cal Pizza recipe
Ok, I must share this recipe!!! I have really been trying to change my diet lately & pizza has always been my biggest temptation! So, I had to figure a way to make it calorie smart....and I found it.....it's called FLATOUT BREAD....it's the shit!!! You can get it in the deli section at most grocery stores or you can order it and keep it in the freezer…..it lasts forever!! https://flatoutbread.com the light original brand only has 90 calories per slice.
This whole pizza has only 345 calories….you could actually have 2 if you were really hungry and still be in your caloric range for a meal!!
This is how I like my pizza but feel free to experiment with your own tasty toppings.....
· 1 clove of Garlic Minced
· 4 TBLS of Prego (green pepper & mushroom) (90 calories)
· ¼ cup weight watchers mozzarella cheese (70 calories)
· 2 TBLS finely sliced mushrooms (15 calories)
· 2 TBLS finely sliced onions (10 calories)
· 2 TBLS finely sliced tomatoes (25 calories)
· 4-5 jalapeno's (5 calories)
· Turkey Pepperoni – (only 40 calories for 8 pepperonies)
· 1 Light Italian & Herb piece of FLATOUT BREAD (90 calories)
..:NAMESPACE PREFIX = O />
Preheat oven to 350 and bake the Flatout bread by itself with the minced garlic on it for 3 minutes or until slightly crispy. (Keep your eye on the suckers they burn quick)
After 3 minutes, pull the piece of bread out of the oven. Cover the flatout bread with the 4 TBLS tablespoon of Prego. Then cover the sauce with the finely sliced tomatoes.
Then add all the toppings, except the pepperoni. Cover with cheese THEN place the 8 pepperoni's on the top of the cheese. Place the pizza on a pizza pan or on some tin foil and cook @ 350 degree's for another 10 minutes or until cheese is all melted. I broil the pizza at the very end to crisp up the pepperonis. (Usually only a 1-2 minutes…but make sure you really watch it if you use the broil or you can burn the pizza really fast.) Cut into at least 4 pieces...Add a small side salad and you've got a great meal for ¼ the regular calories.
Bon appetite!!
