Ingredients
1 cup black beans, dried, (soaked overnight w/green pepper cut in 4 pieces)1 medium onion, chopped 4 cloves of garlic, chopped1 green pepper, chopped1/2 tsp cumin1 tsp oregano1 bay leaf1 tsp sea salt
Directions
Chop green pepper, onion, and garlic.
Discard soaking water and approx 4 cups of water.
Add green pepper, onion, garlic, bay leaf, oregano, cumin and salt.
Bring beans to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer beans until tender.

Makes 8 One cup servings
