Plain Yogurt - 2 cups (homemade from milk)Ginger - 2 tsp, mincedChickpea Flour (Besan) - 1/2 cupGaram Masala - 1 tspTurmeric Powder - 1/4 tspOlive Oil - 1.5 TbspCumin Seeds - 1/2 tspFenugreek Seeds - 1/4 tspSalt - to tasteRed Chilli Powder - 1/2 tspAsefotida - pinchfennel seeds - 1/2 tspWater - 8 cups
Blend Yogurt and Chcik Pea flour together with 1 cup water. Add oil in a big container and put asefotida, cumin, fennel and fenugreek seeds in it. When they start to splatter add ginger and tumeric and the yogurt and chick pea solution. Add 6-7 cups of water in it. Add red chili powder to it and also add salt. When it comes to a boil low a heat little bit and let it boil for about 90 minutes stirring in between. Once it becomes about 2 cup less than the original amount (when you put it in a plate you should not see water at the edge). Add butter and Garam Masala and boil for anoher 5 mins. Heat it hot with rice or drink is as soup.
