Daal Fry

Ingredients
1 package Lentils3 tbsp olive oil3 tbsps cumin seeds1 large onion2 large chopped tomatoes2 serrano peppers1 tbsp Garam Masala3 tsp sugarsalt to taste
Directions
Wash lentils well. Cook in large pot covered over 1.5 inches with water.
When they are close to finished cooking, heat oil in a skillet and add cumin seeds, onion and peppers. Cook until onions are clear.
Add tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes have broken down.
When lentils are soft, mash them a bit to get the consistency of porridge. Add saute mixture to lentils and stir.
Serve with jeera rice and chutney.
