Cherry Vanilla Oatmeal

1 3/4 cup Water1 Cup Quick Oats1/4 cup Dried Cherries, roughly chopped1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract2 Tbs Black Cherry fruit spread
Place small pot on med heat and add water, oats and dried cherries. When it come to boil turn down and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract and Cherry Fruit Spread. Makes two servings.
Note: I substitue milk for water so I can get my dairy in as I don't like to drink milk unless I'm dunking a cookie in it. Also Ellie's recipe doesn't call for chopping the cherries but I like to get one in every bite and this way it distributes them more evenly.
