Turkey Burger Soup

1.25 lbs ground turkey, 93% lean1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon pepper1/4 teaspoon basil1/4 teaspoon oregano1/8 teaspoon seasoned salt1 package onion soup mix6 cups boiling water8 oz tomato sauce1 tablespoon soy sauce1.25 cups celery, sliced with leaves1 cup carrots, sliced1/3 cup split peas1 cup whole wheat elbow macaroni1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Brown meat, add salt, pepper and other seasonings and onion soup mix. Stir in boiling water, tomato sauce and soy sauce. Cover and simmer about 15 minutes. Add the vegetables and simmer 30 minutes. Add the macaroni and simmer 30 minutes longer adding water as necessary. Pass the parmesan cheese to serve on top. Makes 6 servings.
