Ingredients
Tomato Sauce, 1 large canCanned Tomatoes, 1 can White Wine, about 1/8 cup (a wine you like to drink by the glass)Fat free half and half, 1/8 cup Chicken stock, can be canned, 1/2 cupBasil, 2 tbsp Oregano, ground, 1 tbsp Rosemary, dried, 1 tbsp Garlic powder, 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar, 1 tsp
Directions
Place tomato sauce, tomatoes, chicken stock and herbs in a sauce pan over medium heat. When sauce begins to bubble, turn heat down to low and simmer for about 15 minutes. Add cream, white wine, and sugar, return to simmer, simmer for an additional 15 minutes. Makes about 4 servings.

Serve over any whole-wheat pasta, use to simmer chicken, fish or pork cutlets, use in lasagna, pizza, or anywhere you would normally have marinara sauce.

This may seem like a lot of time for pasta sauce, which can easily be purchased ready to go, but the extra time you take will bring out the flavors and be a richer taste experience. Also, by making from scratch, you have better control over the ingredients. You can easily double or triple this recipe for extra guests, or to have extra on hand for a quick and easy dinner later in the week.
