Easy Au Gratin Potatoes

Ingredients
3/4 c. half and half cream1/2 c. skim milk1/2 t salt1/4 t garlic powder3 medium potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced1 c seasoned croutons, divided1/8 t pepper1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
In a medium saucepan, bring cream, milk, salt and garlic powder to a boil. Add potatoes; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 10-15 mins or until the potatoes are tender. Coarsely crush 1/4 cup of croutons. Remove potatoes from the heat; stir in the crushed croutons and pepper. Pour into a greased 1-1/2 qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with the cheese and remaining croutons. Bake, uncovered at 400 deg for 5-6 mins or until cheese is melted.
