Sharon's Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix
- Minutes to Prepare:
- Number of Servings: 15
Ingredients
Directions
¼ Cup Dried Onion Flakes 4 Tbsp. Chili Powder 1Tbsp. Salt4 tsp. Corn Starch 3 tsp. Cumin Powder 3 tsp. Dried Minced Garlic 3 tsp. Onion Powder 2 tsp. Hot Pepper Flakes* 2 tsp. Beef Bullion Powder 1 ½ tsp. Oregano
Combine all the ingredients and store in an air-tight container. When you make tacos, brown the ground beef in a skillet and sprinkle the taco seasoning on the browned meat according to your own taste. Add a few tablespoons of water, and let simmer for a few minutes.
When you're using for Mexican dishes, use about 1 tablespoon or so per 1 pound ground beef, or chicken or beans. More if you like the extra flavor.
*Note: I only add 1 tsp Hot Pepper Flakes. That’s enough for me.
