Apple Turkey Burgers with Raspberry Spread
- Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
Directions
Apple Turkey Burgers:1 pound ground turkey breast1 granny smith apple (peeled, cored and grated)1 tsp ground corriander1 tsp salt1 tsp pepper1 tsp onion flakes1 tsp garlicRaspberry Spread:1/2 cup of Raspberry jelly (I used Polaner's as it is sweetened with juice and not sugar)1 tsp dry mustard1/2 tsp cinnamon1/2 tsp nutmeg
1) Core, peel and grate the apple (I used food processor). Mix in medium bowl with ground turkey and seasonings. Add more or less seasonings to personal preference. Divide into 4 sections. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes minimum.
2) In a small bowl, mix jelly, mustard, cinnamon and nutmeg until well combined. Place in refrigerator until ready to serve. Spices tend to become more pungent after chilling.
3) Heat grill, spray with olive oil spray, if necessary. Form 4 burgers from turkey/apple mixture. Grill burgers on med-high heat for 8 - 12 minutes per side until cooked through. Serve with raspberry spread (included in calorie count)
