Ground beef, lean, 24 oz Onions, raw, 1 large, choppedGarlic, 3 cloves, mincedYogurt, plain, skim milk, 1 cup Peas, frozen, 1 cup Ginger Root, 2 T. minced or finely gratedOlive Oil, 1 tbsp *Cumin seed, ground 1 tsp*Coriander seed, ground 2 tspCinnamon, ground, .5 tsp Salt, .5 tsp Pepper, black, 1 tsp
In a large pan with olive oil, cook onions until soft, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and ginger and cook 1 more minute. Add ground beef and spices and cook, breaking it up into small bits as you go. Drain off fat and add yogurt and peas. Cover and simmer on medium low for 10-15 minutes or until the peas are hot. Serve over brown rice.
