Candice's Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup plus 2 tbsp all purpose flour1/2 tsp baking soda1/4 tsp salt1/2 cup butter or margarine1/3 cup plus 1 tbsp granulated sugar1/3 cup plus 1 tbsp firmly packed light brown sugar1 tsp vanilla1 egg6 oz semisweet chocolate chips
1) Sift flour, baking soda and salt onto a piece of wax paper.
2) Cream butter or margarine, sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in egg.
3) Mix in dry ingredients; stir in chocolate chips.
4) Drop onto lightly greased cookie sheets, spaing cookies about 2 inches apart. Bake in 375° F oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
