I made mine with baking soda and they turned out great! I made 12 regular sized muffins, and am counting 1 muffin as 1.4 servings in my tracker (simple math problem to figure out).
This was the first pumpkin muffin recipe I found on here that was a 'real' recipe, and didn't call for a cake mix! - 12/13/09

Tasty but confusing. The recipe lists baking soda, but in the instructions call it baking powder. Given the other ingredients, I chose the baking powder. Also, there's a big calorie difference between 12 muffins and 18 smaller ones. Are the 144.2 calories for the larger or smaller? - 10/31/09
