Ingredients
1- cup of white long rice(substitute for brown rice)1- can 15.5 oz of beans(your choice)3- tbsp Home made sofrito(onion,garlic,peppers)2- slices of bacon (optional.)(Canadian Bacon)2-tbsp Onion Dice2- tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil.1- tbsp recao(culantro)2- tsp salt.
Directions
in a saucepan (caldero) mixed the oil with dice onion and bacon saute for few minutes until the onion come translusent but making sure not to burn the bacon, proced to incorporate the tomato sauce, sofrito,and the can of bean saute for about 1 minute, put all the water and bring to boil and put the salt, when the water come to boil tasted just in case need to adjust the flavor,time to put the rice let all the water evaporate tossing constantly, put the lid on the saucepan and lower the hit for about 20 minutes, uncover, toss the rice and cover again for about 5 minutes...when is ready to serve garnish with the recao(culantro)...
Serve with your favorite meat....Buen Provecho...
