Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Ingredients
2 carrots, diced2 potatoes, cubed1 onion, diced1/4 turnip, diced2 ribs celery, chopped1 clove garlic, minced12 cooked meatballs, quartered1 can tomato soup6 cups vegetable broth1/4 cup barley1 tbsp oregano1 tbsp basil1 1/2 tbsp sugar1 tsp pepper
Directions
Chop vegetables and saute in oil. Add sugar, salt, pepper, basil and oregano as the vegetables are cooking.
Quarter the cooked meatballs and place in bottom of slowcooker. Place vegetables in slowcooker as well.
Mix a can of tomato soup in with the vegetables. Pour vegetable broth over everything and stir.
Add the barley.
Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
Makes 10-12 servings.
