Ingredients
Flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, milk, eggs, oil
Directions
- Sift together dry ingredients
- Mix together liquid ingredients, all room temperature (beat as little as possible)
- Add dry mixture to liquid mixture, beating as little as possible (only until there are just very small clumps of dry mix)
- Fill popover or muffin tin cups up 3/4 full
- Bake 15 min at 450 without opening the oven
- Lower temperature to 375 and continue baking for another 20 minutes
- Pierce the popovers with a sharp object upon removal to prevent deflating
- Enjoy with butter, powdered sugar, or jam
