Ingredients
Directions
15 oz can tomato sauce or just tomatoes, make sure there is no sugar or starch in the sauce. ( you may want to use the can with no salt added if salt intake is an issue.)1 cup of Chicken Broth, make sure there is no MSG in the brothAbout a Tbsp of chopped onionsPat of butterPinch of cloves.1 cup of Heavy whipping cream set aside
in a sauce pan, melt butter and "sweat" the onions, cook until translucent.
add one can of tomato sauce,
add 1 cup of chicken broth , ( I use the empty tomato can to measure approx 1/2 can is 1 cup )
and a pinch of ground cloves.
Since the sauce and broth are both already cooked, you could simply heat the ingredients for 5 minutes or you can simmer for up to an hour to "reduce" the sauce and make it thicker.
After heated/reduced to desired consistency, add 1 cup of heavy cream stir to blend and serve.
Enjoy!
