Pasta w/Tomatoes and Ham

Ingredients
1 meduim onion, cut into 1/4" slices12 red or yellow cherry/pear tomatoes, halved8 oz dried whole wheat pasta1/4 tsp crushed red pepper4 oz thinly sliced cooked ham, cut into strips3 T thinly sliced basil1 T garlic-flavored olive oilArugula leaves (optional)
Directions
Place onion on a foli-lined broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from heat for 5 minutes. Add tomato halves to pan; broil about 5 minutes more or until edges are brown.

Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions, adding crushed red pepper to water. Drain and return pasta to pot.

Cut up onion slices, toss onion and tomato with pasta, ham, basil and olive oil. Garnish w/arugula leaves.
