Ingredients
220g lentils1L water1tbsp grated ginger1tsp tumeric powder1tbsp sunflower oil1/2 tsp dried chilli flakes1 tsp curry powder4 cloves of garlic, in thin slices
Directions
Put the lentils, ginger, tumeric powder and teh water in a pan and keep it on high fire until the water boils. Turn down the heat and let it boil until the lentils fall apart (orange lentils take about half an hour, green ones may take longer). Heat the oil in a separate pan, when it is very hot fry the curry powder, chilli flakes and garlic. When it turns darker add it to the lentils and stir
