BBQ Cheeseburger & Rice Skillet

Ingredients
2 pounds 93% ground beef1/2 cup chopped onions3 1/2 cups water1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce4 cups instant white rice, uncooked2 cup 2% shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
Brown meat with onion in large skillet or dutch oven. Drain.
Add water and barbecue sauce; mix well. Bring to boil.
Stir in rice; cover. Reduce heat to low; cook 5 minutes. Stir. Sprinkle with Cheese.

    I substituted ground veggie round and used my home made BBQ sauce, also we don't used instant rice so we used long grain white rice - next time 'd let it simmer for 3 more minutes (simmered for 12 min) and then my rice wouldn't be so crunchie... - 3/6/11

    i used brown rice and hickory bbq sauce. next time i'll use plain bbq or garlic and the white rice - 1/15/11
