Chicken and Sausage Gumbo

1 tbsp olive oil4 ozs turkey kielbasa, sliced1 large onion, chopped1 large green bell pepper, chopped3 cloves garlic, minced1/4 teas dried thyme2 tbls all-purpose flour1 can (14.5 oz) reduced-sodium fat-free chicken broth1 can (14.5 oz) unsalted diced tomatoes12 ozs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, trimmed, cut into 1" pieces1/2 teas hot pepper sauce3 scallions, chopped2 cups hot cooked brown rice
Heat the oil in a nonstick Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the kielbasa, onion, bell pepper, celery, garlic, and thyme. Cook, stirring occasionall, until crisp-tender, 6-7 minutes. Stir in the flour and cook 1 minute. Add the broth, tomatoes, chicken, and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer, partially covered, until thickened and the chicken is cooked through, about 28-20 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the scallions. Serve over the brown rice.
