Beef Stew - Slow Cooker

Ingredients
! pkg Stew beef (usually just over a lb)4 Stalks Celery1 cup sliced carrots2 lrg red potatosMake 2 cups beef stalk 1/4 cup flour2 tbsp flour (for thickening later)1.5 tbsp oil1 tbsp parsley1 clove garlic1 tsp dried onion3/4 cup barley (uncooked)
Directions
Chop and prep veggies and add to water and beef stalk.
Cube the stew beef and coat in 1/4 cup flour and salt and pepper.
Fry the beef so the outside is seared (with the oil) but don't allow the beef to cook through.
Add beef to veggies and let cook.

Add spices and barley in the last hour of cooking.
Take 2tbsp of flour and combine with 1/2 cup water, stir and add to mixture to thicken.

Should cook on high for 4-5 hours in slow cooker.
