Mom's leek soup

Ingredients
3 fresh leeks3-4 little red potatoes1 Tbsp of salted butter1 cup of Chicken or vegetable broth3 cups of water1 cup of milkSalt and pepper
Directions
Chop vegetables into 1/2 inch pieces
Add 1 tbsp butter to large pot
On medium heat "sweat' the vegetables for 5-10 minutes
When vegetables are wilty but not brown add 1 cup of broth and 3 cups of water
Bring to a boil and simmer for 35 minutes
let cool a bit
add vegetables to a food processor.
begin to puree by adding the broth mixture 1/4 cup at a time.
Stop when smooth and soupy looking
discard remaining broth.
return to pan and add 1 cup of milk
reheat for 10 minutes on low heat stirring occaisionally
add salt and Pepper
Serve
