Amy's Spanish Rice

Ingredients
1 Cup rice1 small onion chopped4 Tbsp Butter2 Tsp minced garlic1-15 oz can tomato sauce2 tsp pepper1 1/2 cups boiling water3-4 splashes tabasco sauce for extra spice
Directions
Put water on to boil
Sauté rice, margarine & onion until rice starts to get golden and onion is tender
Add minced garlic and stir
Add water, tomato sauce & pepper – bring to a boil

Cover and turn low – simmer for 18 – 20 minutes until tender and most liquid is absorbed
(stir once or twice while cooking)
