Ingredients
3 Slices Bread (you can experiment with different kinds - traditionally done with white bread)3 servings margarine/butter of choice1 egg200g 0%milk1tsp CornFlourSweetners - to taste. (Or none and it can be a savory side dish!)
Directions
Makes 2 sevings.

Toast the bread, spread the butter/margerine on one side. But in pieces (In four either in strips, cubes or triangles) and arrange in microwavable dish.

Whisk egg, milk, cornflour and sweetners and pour over bread. Let it soak for a bit.

Microwave at 750W (I find worked well) for 5mins, check it, then further cook for up to another 5 mins.

NOTE: Can be made in oven, but cooking time is around 30-40mins.

Variations:

This is a terribly versitile recepie! You can add marmalade, jam, cinnamon, dried fruit and nuts or add cocoa powder to the custard mixture before cooking it in the microwave.

To serve you can make custard to serve with it, jam, cinnamon, compote etc. As a savory you can add ham, cheese, tomato sauce with vegetables - Use your imagination!
