2 cups red lentils1 large chopped onioncooking spray for the pan1 cup chopped celery2 bouillon cubes1 14 ounce can chopped tomatoes5 cm of ginger root chopped fine3 cloves garlicwater3 bay leaves
Spray the bottom of a big sauce pan.
Add the crushed garlic, onions, celery. Saute a little.
Add lentils, bay leaves, tomatoes, and ginger root. Cook a little longer -- stirring.
Add the water and the cubes. The amount of water added depends on how thick you like your soup.
Cook covered until the lentils soften. Add more water if you like thinner soup.
