Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt shortening, milk, and vanilla in large bowl.
Mix on low for 2 minutes
Add egg whites and mix on high until fluffy about another 2 minutes.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until toothpick is clear when poked into the center
