1 T olive oil, 1 cup chopped onion, 1 chopped green bell pepper, 5 tsp minced garlic, 1 can crushed tomatoes, 1 can black beans (rinsed and drained), 1 can garbanzo beans (rinsed and drained), .5 cup corn, .5 cup tomato paste, .25 tsp sugar, 1 T basil leaves, 1 T chili powder, .25 tsp black pepper
Heat oil in skillet and saute onion, bell pepper, and garlic about 5 minutes; add to slow cooker with other ingredients and cook on low 4-5 hours
