Strawberry Lemonade

Ingredients
4 lemons1 cup strawberries1 cup sugar1 cup water4 cups icewater to fill half gallon pitcher
Directions
Cook 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water, stirring til dissolved to make simple syrup. Halve lemons and strawberries and place in a large bowl. Pour warm water from teakettle over lemons and strawberries. With a muddler or potato masher, mash the lemons and strawberries in the water. Squeeze out lemons and strawberries and strain into pitcher half filled with ice. Add simple syrup, stir, add water to fill pitcher, and stir again. Serve over ice.
