Mom's tortillas

Ingredients
3 c flour1 1/2 t baking powder1 1/8 t salt1/3 c shortning1 c warm water
Directions
Mix dry ingredients, cut in flour either by hand or with a utensil. Add water all at once, you want the dough to be moist but not sticky, so you may have to add a little more or less. I actually use hot water for mine. Let dough sit for 15 min. Break into about a dozen balls, and flatten by hand before rolling out with a rolling pin. Cook on a griddle at about 350, flipping when each side is just starting to brown.
