Ingredients

    1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
    1 (16 oz) jar of salsa
    1 package taco seasoning

Directions

Cook in crock pot for 8-10 hours on low. Shred meat using forks, and serve on whole wheat tortillas with 2% cheddar cheese and non-fat refried beans. (Calories not included.)

    This was outstanding! This could also be used as the base for chicken nachos which is what I did! I added shredded lettuce, light sour cream, chopped tomatoes, chopped red onion, fat free refried beans, and fat free shredded mexican cheese and it was delicious! Thanks for this recipe! - 1/23/11

    Added black beans and corn as well. Used 4 chicken breasts...could use up to 6 w/ 1 jar of salsa. EASY and GREAT!! I had mine over a bed of spinach, kids had w/ cheese on whole wheat tortillas. This base could be converted to a tortilla cheese soup and be fantastic! - 12/14/10

    These were really good! I made more of a burrito with this--added black beans, some brown rice, fat free sour cream & chopped tomatoes. Really easy and tasty! - 11/18/07
